Ans: Yes, latex is highly flexible and able to conform to different body shapes  and the spine, provides great pressure relief, making it suitable for different sleeping positions.  Our 7-zone support mattress are ideal for those with neck or shoulder strain, back pain, scoliosis or slip disc.

Ans: Anyone who is 170cm and above should be using a 200cm length mattress, to prevent your legs from dangling outside of mattress, causing lower back pain, and avoid sleeping with shoulders on the pillow to gain more space. 200cm mattress length (EU size) is used commonly in Singapore these days to be aligned to international sizing.  At dormiente, both SG and EU sizes are available, with no price differentials.

MATTRESS WARRANTY COVERAGE AND DURATION

Every 100% natural latex mattress bought are covered by a 5-year limited warranty, that comes into effect from the date of purchase and applies only to material and manufacturing defects. This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and at the original delivery location. It is not transferable.

 

SLEEP SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 

dormiente mattress and slatted bed base are carefully matched to form a sleeping system.

To maintain warranty validity, the dormiente mattress must be used with a compatible dormiente bed base as a complete sleep system. Using the mattress without a proper dormiente bed base will void this warranty.

 

COVERED DEFECTS 

This warranty covers the following manufacturing defects: loss of mattress height and loss of firmness in natural latex. A depression or indentation of 15% or more from the original latex core height, including a loss of firmness of 20% or more compared to the original mattress specifications.

 

 WARRANTY CLAIMS

To make a warranty claim, please contact our customer service team with your original purchase receipt, original dormiente issued warranty card, and a detailed description of the defect.

Please provide photographic evidence in the form of photos and videos to show loss of mattress height and firmness in the natural latex core, taken without the quilted mattress cover to verify the claim, before we send dormiente representative for an in-home inspection.


LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS 

This warranty does not cover:

* Normal wear and tear

* Comfort preference changes

* Damage due to improper care, overloading, incorrect handling or use causing tearing of latex

* Stains, soiling, or odour, vandalism

* Damage caused by non-compatible bed bases or foundations

* Organic mattress cover (inner and outer), including handles, zipper 

 

NOTE: As organic cotton and pure new wool are natural materials, they compact with use over time. Mattress handles are designed for mattress positioning only. Never use the handles to support the weight of the mattress.


RESOLUTION 

If a valid defect is confirmed, we grant a full guarantee on manufacturing defects, and dormiente will at its discretion, repair or replace the defective mattress with a comparable model, free of charge.

The customer shall bear the costs for transporting the mattress to dormiente. Guarantee services rendered by us shall not interrupt the running guarantee period, nor do they start a new warranty period.

Claims under guarantee must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt and dormiente warranty card issued to you during the delivery of the mattress.

Ans: Our 7-zone mattress are symmetrical in design, and we recommend regular flipping or rotation, lengthwise or top and bottom.  This ensures hygiene as well as not the same side is used all the time.

Ans: Flipping or rotating the latex, maintaining the cleanliness of the organic mattress cover and beddings will provide a clean and healthy sleeping environment.

Ans: Natural latex is hypoallergenic, naturally anti-dust mite, mildew, mould-resistant without requiring chemicals, making it ideal for allergy sufferers.  Dormiente mattresses are tested to be free of 200 harmful chemicals.

Ans: Latex allergy is a contact allergy, some people develop skin rashes or itch when using latex gloves, balloons or condoms, as these are often coated with chemicals.  With modern production methods, risk to latex allergy is low.  Latex is also covered with inner and outer mattress covers, mattress protector and bedsheets when you sleep.

Ans: When it comes to supporting a latex mattress, the right bed base is crucial for both comfort and longevity.  A flexible slatted bed ensure even weight pressure distribution to relief pressure from sensitive areas like neck, shoulder and back.   Slatted bed bases also provide good ventilation for mattress. Solid planks lack flexibility to conform to body shape and spine, causing unnecessary arching in the spine and lower back, and results in shoulder compression when sleeping on the side.

Ans: At dormiente, we have 15 types of slatted bed bases to cater to specific requirements. From adjustability in the neck & shoulders, lower back firmness, hip flexibility, or even 7-zone firmness customisation, we have orthopaedic bed bases in motorised and non-motorised versions.
